mind the gap

Jam Master DJ almost bought the farm night before last because I NEARLY WENT DOWNSTAIRS TO KILL HIM. The music started up at 12:30am. ON SUNDAY. I was tired and it was 12:30am. So, I got up to wee and stood next to my bed and stomped, as loudly as I could. Amazingly, the music got turned down. Relieved, I got back in bed and tried to drift off. But as is the case with Jam Master DJ, the more he drinks, the louder the music gets. So, up went the volume. By 2am, I was ready to stomp down the stairs, pound on the door and tell them to shut the hell up. But since the stomping worked well before, I decided to try that again. Lo and behold! It worked!! Five rapid stomps and they finally called it a night. Thank you GOD!

Yes, I have a cold. Yes, I've gone through almost an entire box of kleenex since rising at the wee hour of 12:15pm. Yes, the most I've done today is shower and remove nails from the walls of my flat. Oh, and I had a good chat with Laura.

Yesterday was more exciting. I went down to have my final meeting about my dissertation. It's good to be done with it, even if I'm not quite ready to turn it over to the binder yet. Maybe tomorrow I'll be ready to relinquish it. After my meeting with Caroline, I went down to Oxford Street to buy some proper sized paper (American letter sized paper isn't the same as A4 in the UK). Anyway, then I dropped into Waterstone's and bought a few more books because, hey, I don't have nearly enough books.

After coming home and wasting time, I went to dinner with Jack and Zane at their usual Monday night curry place. We had a good time, talking and laughing with their Scottish friend Chris who is beyond hot and unfortunately, gay. Chris dropped us off at home in his new car so we didn't have to walk or ride the bus. I stayed up finishing a book, because hey, I spend a lot of time reading all those books I have laying around.

Tomorrow night I'm supposed to meet up with Liane and few of her mates for dinner at a Belgian restaurant in Covent Garden and maybe catching Elizabeth's comedy act. Thursday night is a leaving the house do for me upstairs with the boys and somewhere in there, I have to finish packing and write my school development paper!
