mind the gap

07 August 2005

I went to dinner in Islington last night with my friend Emily and we had a fab time. Good Cuban food, nice conversation, lots of laughing. I needed to get out and enjoy myself for an evening.

I've gotten more packing done today, had a good chat with the man before he headed off to the pub, called Anne and tossed more remnants of Michael I'd forgotten were stashed away in the nightstand. I had a nice chuckle over how lame it all was and then binned it with the rest of this week's trash.

I'm afraid I'll run out of boxes before I can get everything packed up. I have two left and haven't touched the kitchen yet. If I can't get it all packed in boxes, I'll either have to buy some or unpack a few when I move and come back to repack them. I do have 2 big IKEA bags that I can use to fill up with kitchen stuff.

Wow, already 8pm. Where has the day gone? Life is good. I'm moving to a new place, starting a new job and I'm almost done with my new degree. Stressful, exciting and nerve wracking all at once! I'm looking forward to it now. The flat is feeling less like mine but not knowing what my new place is like is a huge unknown. We'll soon find out what it's like!
