mind the gap

26 July 2005

I didn't do much today, worked on my dissertation and mailed my FLR application for my work permit, chatted with the man. We found out today that 2 friends of his housemate were killed in the blasts in Egypt. The world is topsy-turvy.

I do love this city though. I love this picture of Parliament. Even though it's insane right now and tourist central, I should go out and walk across Westminster Bridge. I want to have my breath taken away again by the sites here. I want to have that "Oh My GOSH I live here!" moment again. I had one once a few months ago when I was walking to class. I haven't had one in a while so I must be due.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, my help and my God. Psalm 42: 5
