mind the gap

23 March 2005

Ok, so I've been a serious slacker about blogging in the last week or so. My family arrived on Sunday afternoon and I've been playing tour guide/hostess to them all week. I don't know that I've ever been so tired! We've been to all the big sites so far, the Tower of London, British Museum, bus tour of the city, National Gallery, V&A, and Westminster Abbey. We also saw the Lion King last night which was SO awesome.
Tomorrow we venture on to Bath. It's been good having them here but stressful too. My sister is staying here and I'm not used to 24 hour a day company. I know I've been snippy though so I'm trying hard to let them do what they want and just get them from point A to B. Taking my nightly bath has helped me unwind.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by so many things going on at once. I have so much school work to do and I'll be busy with my family until the end of next week. At least I can take my laptop with me and work on my papers. I don't feel like I've had any time to process things that have gone on. I need time to myself. I won't have that for a while though.

The job hunt is discouraging. I've applied for 10 jobs and been turned down for 3 so far, not even getting an interview. It only takes one but I don't feel very optimistic right now.
