mind the gap

19 February 2006

After 2 days of constant rain, the sun is out. It's lovely but cold out.

It's been a difficult few days, having serious jet lag and just exhausted from this cold. I've been in bed by 9pm and up about 7:30 every morning. I can't stay up later than that! I guess I should be glad of that as my sleep schedule can quickly revert back to being up only when it's dark out.

My parents were away all weekend and Disa is on her way down to stay the night. I'm looking forward to seeing her. There's a sort of comfort from being back that I haven't felt before. I think it's just a sense of being home, where I see people I know around town, where I just know where things are with no effort to remember. And after living with other people's furniture for 18 months, it's nice to be someplace that feels like home, comfortable, familiar.
