mind the gap

I HAVE A JOB!

I accepted a position today at a high school in Essex. The staff were all wonderful, very nice and welcoming. My head is spinning a bit but the best part is I don't have to go back to CA.
Now comes a flurry of activity. I have to find a new flat, buy a car, finish my school development paper and my dissertation, sell off my furniture and my car in CA. School work has to come first. Must finish my papers... no reason not to focus now.
I have a pounding headache at the moment. My family has a mixed reaction right now, sort of happy for me but want me to be closer to home. I'm relieved. My life is my own. And I get to keep living my dream.
