mind the gap

23 February 2005

A soak in the bathtub is always a good way to recover from a day of meetings. I'm so relaxed I could fall asleep in 2 seconds if I laid down. I was at school for 9 hours straight, without leaving the building. My brain is numb.

11am-1pm: Cluster meeting complete with annoying commentary by PBHE. She contributed NOTHING, as usual, even though she was asked for feedback about how her assignment had helped her learning. Basically, she said she didn't think she was doing anything worthwhile because the tutors already knew everything she would write about. Apparently the concept of writing about what SHE knew and was learning was totally lost on her. And she never even answered the question. I was embarrassed for her, for about 2 seconds.

2pm-4pm: MA group meeting... nothing too exciting other than a friendly reminder that I'm behind where I should be. I knew that already.

4-5pm: Surfed the web for article for class that I printed but never read. Spent too much time emailing Michael at work.

5-8:30pm: class. Nothing terribly interesting or thought provoking tonight. It was hard to concentrate because I was under the a/c vent and freezing. Did I mention that it's SNOWING outside and the bloody a/c was on? In FEBRUARY? I wore my coat most of the night.

Tired. Relaxed. Sleepy. A wee bit cranky. Not very witty today.
